Key takeaways
- Starlink's 2025 holiday prices started Nov 10–11, 2025, more than two weeks before Black Friday (Nov 28).
- Walmart had a matching Mini price the same day; Home Depot followed by Nov 17.
- starlink.com's holiday prices lasted about ten weeks, to Jan 19, 2026. The next day the Mini dropped again, to $199.
- In 2024 the season was shorter: a $449 Mini sale from late November to Dec 8, 2024.
- Two seasons are a pattern, not a promise. As of Oct 6, 2026, no 2026 holiday offer has been announced.
Starlink’s holiday sale doesn’t wait for Black Friday. In 2025 the first offer, a $40/mo regional plan, appeared on Nov 10, and starlink.com’s holiday kit prices started on Nov 11, seventeen days before Black Friday. Walmart matched the same day, Home Depot by Nov 17, and starlink.com’s prices held until Jan 19, 2026. Here is the season in order, with what each date means for anyone shopping this year.

The store end dates aren’t in our sources, so we don’t print them. Every 2025 row in our deals log is struck through as ended.
Phase 1: the early start (Nov 10–17)
The season opened with two different kinds of offer within 24 hours.
A service promo. The $40/mo plan for Residential 100 Mbps was offered only in limited locations, set by address at starlink.com’s checkout. It wasn’t a hardware deal, and most addresses never saw it.
Hardware prices for everyone. The $229 Mini and $279 Standard kit were national prices on starlink.com. The Standard kit’s price came with a Roam plan; the Mini’s didn’t have a condition stated in our source.
Stores followed fast. Walmart’s $230 Mini was reported the same day. Home Depot’s $279 Standard and $229 Mini were reported by Nov 17. Neither store went below starlink.com. If the 2025 pattern holds, the first week is when store and online prices line up; it isn’t a reason to wait for a store to undercut.
Phase 2: Black Friday and Cyber Monday (Nov 28 – Dec 1)
Nothing new happened on the day itself, at least nothing we could source. The prices that started Nov 11 were still running on Black Friday (Nov 28, 2025) and Cyber Monday (Dec 1, 2025). We have no record of a doorbuster or a one-day Cyber Monday price for Starlink in 2025.
That matters for planning. If you assume the sale is a one-day event, you might rush on Black Friday for a price that had been available for two weeks and would stay for seven more. If you assume prices will be lower on Cyber Monday, our log gives no support for it.
Phase 3: December
Two things happened in December 2025:
- The $40 plan disappeared by Dec 12, about a month after it appeared. PCMag reported it as removed where capacity filled. Regional service promos in our log tend to end like this: without a published end date, and sometimes early.
- The kit prices held. The $229 Mini and $279 Standard (with Roam) on starlink.com ran through the gift season.
If you were buying a gift, the long run helped: there was no need to buy in November to get the holiday price.
Phase 4: the January handoff (Jan 19–20)
starlink.com’s holiday prices ended on Jan 19, 2026. On Jan 20 the Mini went on sale at $199, against a $249 list price. For Mini buyers, the end of the holiday season was a further cut, not a price rise. Later in 2026 the Mini moved again: $199 or $16/mo from Jul 28, then from $149 on Oct 2, 2026.
The Standard kit followed a different path: the $279 holiday price with Roam ended, and the list price stayed at $349. So for Standard kit buyers, missing the holidays did mean missing a lower price.
The 2024 season, for comparison
The 2024 record has one row: starlink.com’s Mini at $449, 25% off its $599 list, from late November to Dec 8, 2024 (Tesla North). It started later and lasted about two weeks. We have no sourced store rows for 2024.
Two seasons is a small sample. They share an early start (before Black Friday) and starlink.com leading the prices. They differ in length (two weeks vs ten) and breadth (one item vs two kits, stores and a service plan).
What the timeline means for 2026
What we can say from the record:
- Black Friday 2026 is Nov 27 (Thanksgiving is Nov 26). Cyber Monday is Nov 30.
- If the 2025 pattern repeats, holiday prices could appear in the second week of November. That’s a pattern, not a forecast; Starlink doesn’t publish a holiday calendar.
- Store prices followed starlink.com within about a week in 2025.
- Today’s Mini price is already below any holiday Mini price on record. From $149 since Oct 2, 2026, against $229 in holiday 2025 and $449 in 2024.
- The Standard kit’s best holiday price on record ($279, with Roam) is below today’s $349. If you want a Standard kit and can wait, last season’s record is on your side; if you need it now, the 30-day return window on starlink.com and each store’s window are your protection.
What we can’t say: whether there will be a 2026 holiday sale at all, which items it would cover, or what the prices would be. The Black Friday page will show offers as soon as a source reports one.
What the timing means for different buyers
Buying a Mini for travel. The Mini is already cheaper than at any point in the last two holiday seasons. A holiday sale could still go lower; the record doesn’t say. If you need it for a trip before Thanksgiving, the timeline gives you no reason to delay, and starlink.com’s 30-day return covers you if the price falls inside that window and you choose to return and reorder (check the return terms first, and remember a return doesn’t cancel service).
Buying a Standard kit for home. Last season’s $279 (with a Roam plan on starlink.com, or kit-only at Home Depot) was below today’s $349. If your current internet works and you can wait until mid-November, the record suggests checking then. If you’re planning to rent rather than buy, holiday kit prices matter less: the $0-up-front rental in starlink.com’s national listing (seen Oct 5, 2026) isn’t a holiday offer.
Buying a gift. The 2025 prices ran through Jan 19, so there was no need to buy in November. A gift purchase also has to work at the recipient’s address, where plan prices and regional offers may differ from yours.
Waiting for a service promo. The $40 plan in 2025 was address-based and lasted about a month. Service promos in spring 2026 behaved the same way, as our promo history shows. If one appears, it will be at starlink.com’s checkout for your address, and it may end without notice.
Why the season starts early: what we can and can’t say
We can say what happened: Starlink set its holiday prices in the second week of November in 2025, and retailers lined up within days. We can’t say why. Starlink doesn’t publish its pricing reasons, and we don’t speculate about them. What matters for a buyer is the dates, not the motive, and the dates are in the table above.
How to watch the season without wasting time
- Start checking in early November, not on Black Friday.
- Check starlink.com first, then one or two stores. In 2025, stores matched starlink.com rather than leading it.
- Note the condition. Last year’s $279 Standard kit needed a Roam plan.
- Check your address at checkout for service promos like the $40 plan. Headlines don’t tell you whether your address qualifies.
- Follow dated sources. Our deal news page lists changes with the date they happened.
Common mistakes
- Waiting for Black Friday itself. The 2025 prices started 17 days earlier.
- Expecting Cyber Monday to be cheaper. No record supports it.
- Assuming prices rise in January. For the Mini, they fell.
- Treating a regional service promo as national. The $40 plan was limited to certain addresses.
What we don’t know
- Exact end dates for store sale prices in 2025.
- Whether Best Buy or Costco had holiday 2025 prices.
- Anything about Starlink’s 2026 holiday plans.

Questions people ask
When does Starlink's Black Friday sale start?
In 2025 it started on Nov 11, with a $40 regional plan appearing on Nov 10, more than two weeks before Black Friday on Nov 28. In 2024 the Mini sale started in late November. Nothing has been announced for 2026 as of Oct 6.
How long do Starlink holiday sales last?
The 2025 starlink.com holiday prices ran from Nov 11, 2025 to Jan 19, 2026, about ten weeks. The 2024 Mini sale ended Dec 8, 2024, after about two weeks.
Do Starlink prices go up after the holidays?
Not in the last season on record. When the holiday prices ended on Jan 19, 2026, the Mini dropped further, to $199, on Jan 20.
Is Black Friday 2026 on Nov 27?
Yes. Thanksgiving 2026 is Thursday, Nov 26, so Black Friday is Nov 27 and Cyber Monday is Nov 30.
Do stores have Starlink sales at the same time as starlink.com?
In 2025, Walmart's Mini price appeared by Nov 11, the same day as starlink.com's, and Home Depot's by Nov 17. Both matched starlink.com's holiday prices rather than undercutting them.
Should I wait until Black Friday to buy Starlink?
It depends on what you're buying and when you need it. Our decision table weighs today's prices against last year's holiday prices without guessing at this year's.
