How we make money

The referral link. The site's owner is a Starlink customer with their own Starlink referral link. The "See Starlink plans" button in the header, the order box on deal pages, guides and news items, and links to Starlink's plan and order pages use it, always clearly labeled, with this disclosure right next to it: if you order with it, you get one free month of service (credited to your second bill; new customers ordering on starlink.com who stay at least two billing cycles), and the owner may receive a referral reward from SpaceX. Your kit and plan prices are the same as without the link.

The link works only for US addresses, only for people who have never had Starlink, and only for a kit and plan ordered on starlink.com. Store kits never qualify.

What doesn't change because of it

• When a store is cheaper, we say "buy at the store", and the comparison tool says so too.
• The deals log lists every offer we can source, whether or not it involves our link.
• We don't run paid ads, post the link in forums or groups, or message anyone with it.
• We don't pay readers, offer rebates, or take orders. All ordering happens on starlink.com.
• Pages written for people who can't use a referral (like bought at a store) show no order box (the header button still appears on every page).
