Starlink Cyber Monday vs Black Friday: did prices differ in past years?

In the two holiday seasons we’ve logged, starlink.com charged the same price on Cyber Monday as on Black Friday. Both days fell inside sale prices that started weeks earlier and ended weeks later: in 2025 the window ran from Nov 11, 2025 to Jan 19, 2026, and in 2024 the Mini’s sale ran from late November to Dec 8. We have no record of a one-day price on either day. The decision that mattered was whether you bought inside the season at all.

That’s a record of two seasons, not a forecast. Here’s what each season looked like day by day, where stores were less clear, and what to check this year, when Black Friday is Nov 27 and Cyber Monday is Nov 30, 2026.

The starlink.com rows come from our price-drop record and the deals log. “Not confirmed” means we have no source for that day, not that the price was different.

2025: one price from Nov 11 to Jan 19

RV Mobile Internet reported starlink.com’s holiday prices on Nov 11, 2025: the Mini at $229 and the Standard kit at $279 for customers on a Roam plan. satelliteinternet.com was still describing the $229 Mini as its Black Friday sale on Nov 25. The prices didn’t change on Black Friday (Nov 28) or Cyber Monday (Dec 1); they stayed until Jan 19, 2026, and on Jan 20 the Mini moved to $199 against a $249 list.

So a buyer who waited from Black Friday to Cyber Monday in 2025 gained nothing, and a buyer who waited until after New Year didn’t lose the holiday price either. A buyer who waited until Jan 20 paid less for the Mini. That’s the opposite of the “doorbuster” pattern many retailers use.

There was also a service offer in the season: a $40-a-month Residential 100 Mbps plan in limited locations from Nov 10, 2025, removed by Dec 12, 2025. It wasn’t tied to either day. Our Black Friday 2025 table has every row.

2024: the Mini’s $449 covered both days

Tesla North reported the Mini at $449, 25% off its $599 launch price, on Nov 27, 2024. Our log records that sale ending Dec 8, 2024, which means it covered Black Friday (Nov 29, 2024) and Cyber Monday (Dec 2, 2024) at the same price. The Standard kit had been cut to $349 on Oct 7, 2024, and we have no sourced holiday sale below that.

Stores: where the two days might differ

Retailers run their own calendars, and our store rows are thinner:

• Home Depot, 2025. SlashGear reported the Standard kit at $279 and the Mini at $229 by Nov 17, 2025. Our log records the end as “after Black Friday 2025”, with no sourced date, so we can’t tell you whether Cyber Monday had the same prices.
• Walmart, 2025. Yahoo Tech reported the Mini at $230 in an early Black Friday deal on Nov 11, 2025. We have no end date.
• Best Buy and Costco. No holiday sale rows in our log for either season.

If you’re shopping a store this year, a Cyber Monday price can differ from Black Friday’s because the store decides, not Starlink. What this means for 2026

The dates: Thanksgiving is Thursday, Nov 26, 2026, so Black Friday is Nov 27 and Cyber Monday is Nov 30. As of Oct 6, 2026, the Mini is already $149 on starlink.com, a price that began Oct 2 with no end date stated. That’s lower than both past holiday Mini prices.

What the record does and doesn’t say:

• It says starlink.com’s holiday prices in both logged seasons were season-long, not one-day.
• It says the 2025 season started early, on Nov 11, more than two weeks before Black Friday.
• It doesn’t say 2026 will follow the same pattern. Two seasons is a small sample, and pricing changed a lot in 2026.
• It doesn’t say prices will fall again. We don’t forecast.

A worked example

Pat wanted a Mini for a winter trip in 2025 and spotted the $229 price on Black Friday, Nov 28. Pat considered waiting for Cyber Monday in case it dropped further. On the record, Cyber Monday showed the same $229, so waiting would have changed nothing. What would have helped was checking whether the price was already live earlier: it was, from Nov 11. And what would have changed the price was waiting until Jan 20, when the Mini moved to $199, which doesn’t help someone travelling in December.

The lesson for 2026: if the price you see on Black Friday suits you and your trip date, the record gives no reason to hold out for Cyber Monday. If you buy and the price drops inside 30 days, starlink.com’s return window is the fallback, provided the kit is undamaged.

How to check both days without wasting time

1. Note the price and date on starlink.com before Black Friday. If it doesn’t change on the day, the sale started earlier or there isn’t one.
2. Check again on Cyber Monday only if you haven’t bought.
3. For a store, screenshot the tag or listing each day; store prices are the ones that can move.
4. Read the conditions. In 2025 the $279 Standard kit price needed a Roam plan.

Common mistakes

• Assuming Cyber Monday is cheaper. Our two seasons show the same price both days on starlink.com.
• Assuming the sale is one day. In 2025 it ran more than two months.
• Comparing a store’s Cyber Monday price with starlink.com’s without the free month line. A store kit never gets it.
• Treating last year as a promise. It’s a record, not a forecast.

What we don’t know

• Whether Home Depot’s 2025 prices were still live on Cyber Monday.
• When Walmart’s $230 Mini price ended.
• Exactly which day in late November 2024 the Mini’s $449 price began; our source is dated Nov 27, 2024.
• Anything about 2026 holiday prices. Nothing had been announced when we checked on Oct 6, 2026.
