Costco's Starlink bundle with 2 months of service credit: how to read it

The bundle as reported, how to value service credit against a cash discount, the $175 warehouse claim we couldn't confirm, and the membership question.

We may earn a referral reward from a link on this page. How we make money.

Costco bundle card: Standard kit $349 plus 2 months of service credit plus a membership at $65 or $130 a year, reported July 2026 and marked unclear. A struck note shows a $175 warehouse price reported once in February 2026 and never confirmed.
Costco's Starlink bundle as a secondary source described it in July 2026. We haven't seen it on Costco's own page, so it stays unclear.

Key takeaways

  • A July 2026 secondary source reports Costco selling the Standard kit for $349 with two months of service credit. Costco's own page wasn't checked, so the row is unclear.
  • Two months of credit is worth two months of whatever plan you pick: twice $55 on Residential 100 Mbps, twice $130 on Max. That beats a one-month credit on any plan, if it applies to yours.
  • You need a Costco membership. If you'd join only for this, a $65 Gold Star fee eats part of the credit's value.
  • The $175 warehouse price (reported Feb 17, 2026) comes from one low-authority blog. We couldn't confirm it.
  • Costco gives 90 days on listed electronics, but its list doesn't name Starlink.

Costco sells Starlink as a bundle. A July 2026 secondary source reports the Standard kit for $349 with two months of service credit, which, if it applies to your plan, is the one store offer that can beat a starlink.com order outright. The catches: you need a membership, we haven’t seen the bundle on Costco’s own page, and the credit only has value while you keep paying for service.

The bundle as reported (Jul 2026)

What Detail Status
Kit Standard kit Reported Jul 2026
Price $349 Same as starlink.com’s purchase price (secondary source)
Extra Two months of service credit How it’s applied isn’t documented in our sources
Condition Costco membership Gold Star $65/yr, Executive $130/yr
Our label Unclear Costco’s own page wasn’t checked

The source is budgetseniors.com, dated Jul 13, 2026. It’s a secondary site, not Costco. Costco’s product pages don’t open for automated checks, and we haven’t stood in a warehouse with a notebook, so the row stays unclear in our deals log until someone confirms it. That label means “check before you rely on it,” not “fake.”

Two things we can’t tell you from the source: whether the credit lands as a Starlink account credit or as something Costco issues, and whether it applies to every plan. Ask at the warehouse or read the bundle’s fine print on costco.com before you pay.

Service credit vs a cash discount

A cash discount is worth its face value the day you buy. Service credit is worth the price of the service it replaces, and only if you’d have paid for that service anyway. Three consequences:

  1. It scales with your plan. Two months of credit on Residential 100 Mbps ($55/mo, checked Oct 5, 2026) is worth twice $55. On Max ($130/mo) it’s worth twice $130.
  2. It’s worth nothing if you cancel before you use it. If you try Starlink, hate it and return the kit, the credit evaporates.
  3. It isn’t a lower monthly price. Starlink still sets the plan price. After the credit runs out, you pay the normal rate.
Bar chart of two months of credit by plan, prices checked Oct 5, 2026: Residential 100 Mbps, 2 times $55, $110; 200 Mbps, 2 times $85, $170; Max, 2 times $130, $260. A dashed line at $65 marks a Gold Star membership fee, which every bar exceeds.
Two months of credit is worth more than a $65 membership on every Residential plan, provided the credit applies to your plan.

For comparison, a first-time customer ordering on starlink.com through a referral link gets one month of service, so two months of credit is worth more on any plan. You can’t have both: a Costco kit is a store kit, and store kits never qualify for the referral month.

Does the membership belong in the math?

If you’re already a member, leave it out. You’re paying the fee regardless. The bundle then compares directly with starlink.com: the same $349 kit price, plus two months of credit against at most one free month online.

If you’d join only for this, count it. A Gold Star membership is $65 a year (Executive is $130). Two months of a $55 plan more than covers $65, so the bundle can still come out ahead, but the margin shrinks. On a higher plan the margin grows. Membership also brings Costco’s return policy and everything else Costco sells, which may or may not matter to you.

Your situation Bundle vs starlink.com
Member, never had Starlink Bundle likely ahead: two months of credit vs one free month, same kit price
Member, had Starlink before Bundle ahead: two months of credit vs nothing online
Not a member, never had Starlink Close: subtract the membership fee from the credit’s value, then compare with one free month
Not a member, had Starlink before Count the fee; credit still likely ahead on most plans
Credit doesn’t apply to your plan Bundle is just a $349 kit plus a membership; starlink.com wins

Every “likely” in that table assumes the bundle is real and the credit applies. That’s why the row is unclear and why you should confirm before you pay.

Two worked examples

These use only prices from our log and assume the bundle is exactly as reported and the credit covers the plan named.

Dana is a Costco member, has never had Starlink, and wants Residential 100 Mbps at $55/mo. At Costco: $349 for the kit and two months of service credited, so the first two $55 bills are covered. On starlink.com: $349 for the kit, where purchase is offered at her address, and one free month through a referral link. Same kit price; Costco comes out one month of service ahead, which is $55 on this plan. Costco wins, as long as Dana keeps the service at least two months and the credit really applies.

Lee isn’t a member, had Starlink at a previous house, and wants Max at $130/mo. No free month online, because the referral is only for people who’ve never subscribed. At Costco: $349 for the kit, a $65 Gold Star membership, and two months of credit worth twice $130. The membership costs about half of one month of Max, so Costco still comes out well ahead. Lee should still confirm the credit covers Max before paying, because if it doesn’t, Lee has bought a $349 kit and a membership he didn’t need.

Common mistakes with the Costco bundle

  • Counting the credit as cash. It only replaces bills you’d pay anyway. If you’re not sure you’ll keep Starlink two months, value it at zero.
  • Forgetting the membership fee when you’d join only for this.
  • Assuming the referral month stacks on top. It doesn’t. A store kit is never eligible, whatever the store adds.
  • Treating a single blog’s price as Costco’s price. The $175 report is one source; the bundle report is one secondary source. Confirm in the channel you buy from.

The $175 warehouse report (Feb 17, 2026)

A CostRefund blog post dated Feb 17, 2026 described a Starlink kit at $175 in some Costco warehouses. It’s one low-authority source. Costco hasn’t confirmed it, we couldn’t, and no second source reported it. We keep it in the log, labeled unclear and flagged “single low-authority source,” because hiding it would leave you wondering whether we missed it.

If you see a warehouse price that low, photograph the tag with the item number and date. A warehouse-only price can be a regional markdown or a clearance of older hardware; the tag and the box tell you which.

Returns: 90 days, probably

Costco’s electronics return policy gives 90 days on the items it lists. Starlink isn’t named on that list. Secondary sites say the 90-day rule applies. That’s the longest store window among the retailers we track, three times starlink.com’s 30-day hardware refund, but it’s unconfirmed for Starlink specifically. Ask at the membership counter, and keep the receipt and all packaging. Our return windows guide compares every store.

One more thing returning won’t do: it won’t cancel your Starlink plan. Cancel the service separately in the Starlink app.

What the bundle doesn’t change

  • Plan price. Set by Starlink on starlink.com, the same for a Costco kit as any other.
  • Demand surcharge. A one-time charge in busy areas follows your service address, not the store. See why a store kit can’t skip it.
  • Availability. If your area is waitlisted, a Costco box doesn’t jump the line.

Online vs warehouse

Costco can sell different items through costco.com and its warehouses: a bundle online, a kit-only box in a warehouse, or a clearance price at one location. Our log keeps reports separate by channel. The $349 bundle report doesn’t say which channel it applies to, and the $175 report says warehouse only. Check the channel you plan to buy from.

Is there a Mini at Costco?

We have no sourced Costco Mini listing as of Oct 5, 2026. If you want a Mini, starlink.com listed it from $149 with a Roam plan; Home Depot and Best Buy listed it at about $249. See Starlink Mini at $149.

When Costco is the right choice

  • You’re a member and the credit applies to your plan. This is the clearest store win we track.
  • You’ve had Starlink before. No free month online, so the credit is pure upside.
  • You want a long return window and Costco confirms the 90 days for Starlink.

When it’s the wrong choice

  • You’d cancel within two months. The credit is worth nothing if you don’t keep service.
  • The credit doesn’t apply to the plan you want. Then it’s a $349 kit plus a membership fee.
  • You want a Mini. No sourced Costco listing.

What we don’t know

  • Whether the bundle is on Costco’s site or shelves today, and in which channel.
  • How the credit is applied and which plans it covers.
  • Whether the 90-day electronics window covers Starlink.
  • Whether the $175 warehouse price ever existed beyond one blog post.

Questions people ask

Does Costco sell Starlink?

Secondary sources report that it does, as a bundle: the Standard kit for $349 with two months of service credit (reported Jul 2026). We haven't confirmed it on Costco's own page, so check costco.com or your warehouse.

Is the Costco Starlink bundle worth it?

It can be, if the credit applies to the plan you'll use and you're already a member. Two months of service is worth more than any one-month credit, and the kit price matches starlink.com's $349 purchase price.

Is Starlink $175 at Costco?

One low-authority blog reported a $175 in-warehouse price on Feb 17, 2026, at some warehouses. Costco hasn't confirmed it and neither could we, so we list it as unclear.

Can I return Starlink to Costco?

Costco gives 90 days on the electronics it lists. Starlink isn't named on that list; secondary sites say the 90-day rule applies. Ask at the warehouse before you buy.

Does Costco sell the Starlink Mini?

We have no sourced Costco Mini listing as of Oct 5, 2026. The Mini was listed at starlink.com from $149 and at Home Depot and Best Buy around $249.

Does a Costco Starlink kit get the referral free month?

No. It's a retail kit, and Starlink only issues referral credits for sign-ups on starlink.com. Costco's service credit is a separate, store-side offer.
