What changed
Broadband Breakfast reported on Mar 4, 2026 that Starlink was offering the 100 Mbps Residential plan for $39 a month for the first six months, against a regular $50. The 200 Mbps plan was $69 and Max $109 a month. 5Gstore, writing the next day, added that the Max offer included a complimentary Starlink Mini kit.
The promotion ran through Mar 31, 2026, in several countries including the US. Some high-demand areas, which Broadband Breakfast listed as including Seattle, Sacramento and Alaska, still carried one-time fees of up to $1,500.
The saving on the base plan over six months was $66.

Who it affects
New customers whose address qualified, ordering Mar 4 to Mar 31, 2026.
Customers in surcharge areas, for whom the one-time fee could outweigh the monthly saving.
Max buyers who wanted a travel dish, since the Max offer included a Mini.
What you can do now
Nothing to do now: it ended. If you signed up, your six promotional months ran to about September 2026; check your bill for the switch to the regular price, which has been $55 since May 2026.

If you're in a surcharge area, add the one-time fee to the promo saving before deciding: a $66 saving is small next to a fee that Broadband Breakfast said could reach $1,500. Starlink refunds the surcharge if you return the kit within 30 days.
What hasn't changed
Eligibility still depended on your address; the offer wasn't nationwide.
Starlink's 30-day return window applied as usual to hardware ordered under the promo.
Context
This was the first of three spring 2026 Residential promos in our log: $39 in March, $35 in April and $29 in May, each limited to qualifying addresses. The Max-with-Mini part of this offer prefigured a pattern: the Mini perk on Max was removed in June 2026 and came back in August.
Max at $109 compared with a regular $120 at the time. After the May 16, 2026 price rise, regular Max is $130.
What we don't know yet
- Whether the Mini included with Max was a rental or a kit to keep. 5Gstore called it complimentary; we haven't seen Starlink's terms.
- How many US addresses qualified.
- Whether customers who joined in March were moved to the new $55 regular price when their promo ended, or to the $50 price in force when they signed up. The sources we have predate the May increase.
