Returns at Best Buy

15 days standard (60 days for paid My Best Buy members); 14 days for activatable devices. We couldn't confirm whether Starlink counts as an activatable device; a 2024 guide called it a two-week window. A restocking fee may apply to activatable items. On starlink.com, by comparison, you get a full hardware refund if the kit comes back undamaged within 30 days.

Return window

Best Buy gives 15 days on most items (60 for paid My Best Buy members), but 14 days for "activatable" devices, possibly with a restocking fee. We could not confirm which rule covers Starlink, so assume the shorter one and ask at the register.

Sold out in your area?

A Best Buy kit does not get you around a waitlist. Service depends on your address, not on where the box came from.

Before you buy at Best Buy

• Check you are buying from Best Buy, not a marketplace seller.
• Note the return window on the receipt before you open the box.
• If you have never had Starlink, remember a starlink.com order would include a free month this kit can't get.
• You still need a plan from Starlink, and the demand surcharge, if your area has one, still applies.
