What changed
RV Mobile Internet reported the new US prices on May 16, 2026, and The Next Web followed on May 18. New customers paid the new prices immediately; existing subscribers moved to them on or after Jun 18, 2026.
Residential 100 Mbps went from $50 to $55 a month, Residential 200 Mbps from $80 to $85, and Residential Max from $120 to $130. On travel plans, Roam 100GB rose from $50 to $55 and Roam Unlimited from $165 to $175, while Roam 300GB stayed at $80. Standby Mode, the pause option, doubled from $5 to $10 a month.
Starlink's customer notice, quoted by RV Mobile Internet, tied the change to demand and rising costs.
"This adjustment supports ongoing improvements and investment in affordable, high-performance products and services"
Who it affects
Every US Residential and most Roam customers, new and existing. On the 100 Mbps and 200 Mbps plans the increase is $5 a month; on Max it's $10 a month, every month.
Seasonal users on Standby: the pause option went from $5 to $10 a month.
What you can do now
This is background; these are the current list prices in our fact file as of Oct 5, 2026.
When you compare promos in our deals log, compare them against these prices, not the older $50/$80/$120 figures that some articles still quote.
If the increase pushes you to a cheaper plan, check the speed cap first: the 100 Mbps plan is capped at 100 Mbps.
What hasn't changed
Kit prices weren't part of this change. Roam 300GB stayed at $80 a month.
Context
Several spring 2026 promos in our log, including the $35 April and $29 May Residential offers, ran just before or around this change, and some articles still describe the "regular" prices as $50, $80 and $120. Those were the prices before May 16, 2026.
For a household on the 200 Mbps plan the change is $5 a month. Max went up the most in dollars, $10 a month, as did Roam Unlimited, the plan many full-time RVers use.
The rise happened as the subscriber base grew: The Next Web noted Starlink passed 10 million subscribers worldwide in February 2026. Since then several of the moves in our log have been hardware perks rather than lower monthly prices, such as the free Mini with Max and the $0 rental.
What we don't know yet
- Whether another increase is planned; Starlink hasn't said.
- Whether promotional prices for new customers will be set against the new list prices or run separately.
