Walmart early Black Friday 2025: Starlink Mini at $230

What changed

Yahoo Tech's deals desk reported on Nov 11, 2025 that the Starlink Mini had dropped to $230 at Walmart as an early Black Friday deal.

The listing compared that against a "regular" price of $489. We don't treat that as a real former price: starlink.com's own Mini list price was well below it at the time, and the same day starlink.com put the Mini at $229.

So Walmart's deal was effectively a match of starlink.com's holiday price, within a dollar.

Who it affects

Walmart shoppers in November 2025.

Anyone reading big "you save" claims: the size of a store's "was" price says little about the deal.

Gift buyers: check the store's holiday return window, which can differ from Starlink's 30 days.

What you can do now

This is background. On Oct 5, 2026 we saw a Walmart Standard kit listing in search results; prices from snippets are unconfirmed until checked on the page.

Check any store's "was" price against our price history before believing the discount, and compare totals on our store comparison.

On Walmart in particular, check who the seller is before buying: marketplace listings can have different return rules from items sold by Walmart itself.

What hasn't changed

A store-bought Mini still needs a Starlink service plan, at Starlink's prices, and doesn't come with a referral free month.

Context

Our log keeps this row as "ended" rather than deleting it, so it can be compared with this year's prices as Black Friday 2026 approaches.

The same week, starlink.com cut the Mini to $229 for the holidays (from Nov 11, 2025), and Home Depot followed at $229 by Nov 17. Three sellers at about the same price meant the choice came down to returns, pickup and whether you wanted the referral free month, which store purchases don't get.

Big "was" prices are common on marketplace-style listings. A useful test is to compare against the manufacturer's own list price at the time. For the Mini in November 2025, starlink.com's list price was $299, based on later reporting that the list fell from $299 to $249 in January 2026.

What we don't know yet

• Whether the listing was sold by Walmart itself or a marketplace seller; the report doesn't say.
• When the price ended.
• Whether Walmart will list a Black Friday 2026 Starlink price. As of Oct 6, 2026 we have no sourced Walmart Mini price for this season.
