What changed
RV Mobile Internet reported on Nov 11, 2025 that Starlink had launched holiday hardware prices: the Mini at $229, which it called the lowest standalone price so far with no bundle required, and the Standard kit at $279.
The same week, Starlink introduced a $40-a-month, 100 Mbps Residential plan in limited US regions; that plan was removed about a month later (see our separate item).
Our log lists the Standard kit at $279 with Roam. The holiday prices ran until Jan 19, 2026.
"This is the lowest standalone price so far for the compact, portable dish with no bundle required."
Who it affects
Holiday shoppers in 2025. For Black Friday 2026 planning, this is the closest comparison we have: last year's starlink.com holiday prices started in mid-November, not on Black Friday itself.
Store shoppers, because Home Depot and Walmart matched the price within days.
What you can do now
This is background. Today the Mini is already $149 on starlink.com, $80 below last year's holiday price.
Our Black Friday 2026 page shows what sold for how much last year; price drops has the full history.
If you're planning a holiday purchase this year, note the dates of last year's sale: it began Nov 11 on starlink.com, before Black Friday week, and ran into January.
What hasn't changed
Plan prices weren't discounted as part of the hardware sale, apart from the separate $40 regional plan.
The Mini still needed a service plan to work; the holiday price covered hardware only.
Context
Holiday 2025 was the first season in which Starlink, Home Depot and Walmart all sold the Mini for about the same price: starlink.com at $229, Home Depot at $229 from about Nov 17, and Walmart at $230 on Nov 11. When the store and starlink.com prices are the same, the deciding factors are the referral free month, which only applies to starlink.com sign-ups, and each seller's return window.
The year before, Black Friday 2024, the Mini had a 25% discount from a much higher base. The step down to $229 in 2025 was the biggest holiday drop for the Mini so far.
What we don't know yet
- Whether Starlink will run a holiday hardware sale in 2026, and when. Nothing has been announced as of Oct 6, 2026.
- Whether the $279 Standard price applied to every plan type or mainly to Roam orders, as our log row records.
- Whether this year's holiday price will go below $149, the Mini's price since Oct 2, 2026. There is no announcement either way, and we don't guess.
