When a deal goes wrong
The deal expired, or it isn't offered at your address
Starlink promos are short and often tied to areas with spare network capacity. Here's how to tell which problem you have, and the options left.
We may earn a referral reward from a link on this page. How we make money.
What you can do
Check the offer's row in the log: if it's struck through, it ended; if it says "select areas", only starlink.com checkout for your address can show it. If you ordered just before a price drop, the 30-day return window is your fallback.
Which problem is it?
| What you see | Likely cause | What you can do |
|---|---|---|
| The article is more than a few weeks old | The deal ended | Check its row in the log; ended rows show the end date |
| A friend in another state got it | Regional offer | Nothing on your side changes it; regional promos follow network capacity |
| You already have an account | New-customer offer | Promo service prices we logged were for new orders |
| Checkout adds a fee the article didn't mention | Demand surcharge or activation fee | See the fine print |
How short deals can be
The $29/mo promo of May 2026 started May 5 and ended early on May 10. The $89 regional kit of September 2025 was limited to low-demand states. Undated deal articles stay in search results long after the offer ends; that's why every row in our log has dates.
If the price dropped after you ordered
starlink.com offers a full hardware refund if the kit comes back undamaged within 30 days. Inside that window, returning and re-ordering can capture a lower kit price. A demand surcharge, if you paid one, is refunded with a 30-day return: a one-time charge in high-demand areas when you buy, activate, change plan or move into one; refunded with a 30-day return.
Questions people ask
Why don't I see the Starlink deal I read about?
Usually one of three reasons: it ended (many promos lasted weeks, one ended five days in), it was regional and your address isn't in the area, or it was for new customers only. Our log shows each offer's dates and region.
Can existing customers get a new promo price?
The service promos we've logged were for new orders. Existing customers generally keep their plan price.
The price dropped right after I ordered. What can I do?
If you're inside the 30-day return window, returning the kit and re-ordering is the only route we know of. Check the return conditions first.
